OECD Forum Series: International Cooperation and Vaccines

OECD Forum Series: International Cooperation and Vaccines

OECD is organizing an online event on COVID-19 vaccine and treatments: A COVID-19 vaccine and high-quality treatments can only pave the way to a strong recovery if they are made available to those most in need. Meeting this challenge will require producing enough COVID-19 vaccine doses and treatments, making them affordable, deciding who should get access first, and planning massive vaccination and communication campaigns. International co-operation is paramount to all of these critical tasks. Without it, export restrictions, regulatory hurdles and other bottlenecks will hamper production, distribution and uptake, ultimately inflicting greater human, economic and social hardship upon all.

Speakers:

  • Seth Berkley, CEO, GAVI
  • Jeremy Farrar, Director, Wellcome Trust
  • Anthony Gooch, Director of OECD Forum
  • Jane Halton, Chairman, Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations
  • David Nabarro, Special Envoy, Director-General on COVID-19, World Health Organisation
  • Mark Pearson, Deputy Director of Employment, Labour and Social Affairs, OECD
  • Paul Stoffels, Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee and Chief Scientific Officer, J&J
