ORAS-CONHU hosted a webinar about the COVID-19 Clinical Research Coalition with speakers from the coalition’s Steering Committee and several expert working groups. Available in English and Spanish.

In this webinar, scientists from Brazil, India, Thailand, and the US discuss the ethics, safety, and justification for evaluating hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine to prevent COVID-19, in a context of guidance having been recently issued by the World Health Organization to halt the use of these drugs to treat the disease.

The Social Science Working Group organized a webinar on social science research and community engagement in vaccine clinical trials in low-resource settings. This is the first of a three-webinar series on the social science of vaccine development and deployment.

The Virology, Immunology & Diagnostics Working Group organized a webinar to provide an update on the various COVID-19 diagnostics and their applications, and comment on some of the challenges of their use in low-resource settings and related research questions.
